Anime Report: Tokyo Ravens, Kingdom, Magi

I've finally finished Tokyo Ravens and it wasn't too bad. The pacing picked up towards the end even though how they wrote the story wasn't that good. Harutora may be a nice and oblivious guy, but having all the supporting female characters fall in love with him just isn't fair. Haha I don't think he deserves that love. The ending was not so much of a cliffhanger, but more like highly open ended. It's still a happy ending and they still didn't answer a lot of questions. I suppose the light novels may have more answers, but the anime certainly didn't. At least they gave Tenma some more screen time as opposed to being a quiet side character. Saotome was a familiar according to the novel, but disguised as a disciple of Douman. There's no mention of that at all in the anime like many other relationships. I think for now its assumed that the Twin Horn Syndicate survives and Tsuchimikados are hidden for safety reasons. I still don't get what Yakou's ambition was and what ritual he messed up that brought Japan into spiritual disaster. You would expect that by the end of the series it would explain why things happened in the beginning of the series.

Anime Report: Tokyo Ravens

As of episode 20, a lot of stuff has happened. A lot of people are not really the people you know them to be as they reveal their true colors in the episode. Rather than trying to eradicate spies within the Exorcism Bureau, you find that the Twin Horn Syndicate was rooted within the Bureau itself. A larger plan at work is finally in motion and a lot of secrets have been revealed. It's also interesting to see where people's loyalties lie because they are definitely keeping that to themselves. Ashiya Douman, the previous antagonist, is now a neutral character though I suspect he still has another goal in mind. A couple of humans presumed dead are alive and a lot of humans are not exactly human but shikigami. There's some family secrets in the Tsuchimikado clan still to be revealed.

Anime Report: HunterXHunter, Tokyo Ravens, Toriko

I lost interest in a lot of anime titles and a couple of them I decided to drop entirely because their storyline is hardly progressing. Such titles are "Jigoku Shoujo" and "Suisei no Gargantia". "Jigoku Shoujo" is very repetitive and hardly suspenseful for me. I cannot fathom how they concocted a second and third season. Despite the fluid animation in "Suisei no Gargantia", I have no motivation to continue the story. The genre is not my favorite genre and I'm not into this type of adventure story. The same goes for "Tactics". I was hoping for a refreshing supernatural exorcist anime, but "Tactics" is all about solving light mysteries while trying to uncover an important secret. I prefer more darker mysteries and the important secret regarding Haruka is not of interest to me anymore. There's a lot of unnecessary dialogue and unfunny humor.
