[February 2017] First Hairstanding Picks of the Year

I skipped so many months of monthly picks in 2016. I need to keep this up in 2017! You all know how much I love my Japanese metal bands. This list will not be short of them. Here's the first monthly pick of the year.

Music Review: Fuujin Kaikou/Raijin Sousei

Released September 24, 2014

What a surprise to see that Onmyouza decided to release 2 albums on the same day. Both of them are meant to complement each other like the Fuujin (Wind God) and Raijin (Thunder God). Overall I think both albums still kept the original style that Onmyouza had, but didn't explore as much as I thought it would. It's gearing more towards symphonic metal than folk metal with a lot of complexity in melody.

March 2015 Music Pick

This month I revisited some old songs that I have forgotten about and brushed upon music collections that were released some time ago. Fortunately, there were a lot of music I imported into my personal playlist that I can share as material for this entry.
