[Food Review] Woorijip
I've been to Woorijip a few times when I'm in a pinch. They are a good place when you are looking to have fresh food and not spend too much.
On this particular day, it was a cold November day on my day off. I went out to my usual favorite shopping places, craft supplies and such. A visit to Bead Center often meant getting cheap findings and beads. There were some metal findings and spacer beads that caught my eye. In particular they were tiny skull beads that were perfect for stringing a specific ring I had in mind. I went across the street to Toho Shoji and found that I needed nothing from the store. As I continued to walk, I eventually needed shelter from the wind and some sustenance.
At Woorijip, you have a small buffet styled eatery where your food is priced by weight. You can also be like me and select some already packed meals. You can also get soups and side dishes to complement your meal. I went with a packed meal and a soup. I got the spicy chicken and kimbap. The Korean styled popcorn chicken is slightly sweet, but mostly savory. There's also one piece of potato croquette. To me that's the odd one out. The kimbap has egg, cucumber, carrot and daikon wrapped inside. On the side, I got myself a fish ball soup which had two pieces of cut seaweed, two different kinds of fish cake, and a boiled egg.
I still had places to go. Woorijip was a good pit stop to make.
