Top 9 Memorable Anime Titles of 2015

I say this all the time that my interest in anime wanes, but there's always one or two series that hold me back from saying that though. 2015 has produced some impressive stories as well as some disappointing ones that I gave up on. Here's a list of the top 9 animes I found that appealed to me.

JoJo Egypt Chapter

Though it faltered a bit behind the first season of Stardust Crusaders, it remains a faithful adaptation to the manga. Remembered as one of the best arcs of the series, I wouldn't mind rewatching it from the beginning.

Assassination Classroom

How should I say this. It's a funny and positive series appealing to a young audience. Despite contains cliches like a classroom setting, abnormal teacher, and an assortment of different students, the series knows how to make these cliches work.

Death Parade

A full realization of the previous Death Billiards, the story questions morality in all the characters. A bitter sweet ending and something to leave the viewer thinking about.

Aldnoah.Zero Season 2

Not as climatic as season 1, but still like the plot twists that happened. It reminds viewers of Kakumei no Valvrave except the protagonist is rational and headstrong. What I enjoyed most was the character of Slaine and the various events that led to the change in his personality.

Shokugeki no Souma

One of the other animes that were hyped up for the year. Adapting closely to the manga, they used ecchi and food to its fullest. Almost a literal definition to food porn. Storywise, it has a nice buildup.

Gangsta

At first I thought it was a poor choice of a name because "gangsta" evokes the New York hip hop gangsta vibe. The story is far from hip hop and New York. This is more like a European town set in an alternate timeline where gang activity happens. What gives edge to the story is the unholy trinity of a deaf swordsman, a gunman with exceptional memory, and a prostitute haunted by unwanted memories.

One Punch Man

A spin on all the possible anime/manga cliches you can find in a story and twisting it around as a parody styled story. We are always seeing over powering protagonists that boast impressive wardrobe and taking their time fighting. Well here's Saitama, a bald guy with a cape that finishes fights in one punch. How's that for a parody?

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru

The extremely long title had me interested. It's a forensic based series solving mysteries based on bones, but other mysteries also rely on deduction. Sakurako in the series also calls it "analyzing the bones of a case". The animation is on the breathtaking level.
